Microsoft Xbox is really starting to fail at the moment. Why? Because of their Xbox 360 Hard Drive Migration Kit’s. You can NOT find these in-stores. You can only order them for approximately $14 through them by calling them. I would really, really like to know why is this? and what genius thought of this. Because he or she is not only a fucking moron but should be fired. Maybe I am sounding a bit harsh but not really, read on.

Here is my problem: Xbox 360 dropped their prices this past Friday. On Saturday my launch system console received the E74 error message. Coincidence? I would think not. My Xbox 360 is obviously out of warranty since it’s a launch system console, almost 4 years old in just about 2 1/2 months. I do not want to just give away my launch system for $99 only to get a refurbished one so instead I decided to order the Xbox 360 Elite Fall 2009 edition from Amazon.

Here is where my problem gets worse, I want to transfer my 20GB HD over to my new 120GB when I get it tomorrow. I would love to start using the 120GB HD right away. It is almost for sure I will not be able to tomorrow and I will have to wait at least a week. No store sells the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Migration Kit. How ridiculous is that? I am so, so surprised no one on eBay is selling them either because 99% of people should not need them after they have used it. Yes, you can find third-party ones from Hong Kong on there. But the disc to transfer probably will come in PAL format, be unreadable and I am not waiting weeks for it to get here from Hong Kong. So that is not an option, the only legit one I found is from Canada and that will still take too long to get here.

So to end this, Microsoft Xbox, you should really think about putting the Hard Drive Migration Kit’s in-stores. Why you don’t all these years is beyond me. Especially since you sell them WITH separate 120GB hard drives in which my case, that would be a huge waste of money since I have a 120GB HD coming with the console. Also the fact that I have seen that it does have its own packaging so why even bother making packages for it if you still have not put them in-stores? You may as well just not do that to make it look pretty and throw them in a box when you ship them to someone.

I hope this is as bad ass as the most fourth one. Damn was that one good.

John Rambo’s officially readying for a fifth mission. Nu Image/Millennium Films has greenlit the franchise’s fifth installment, with Sylvester Stallone starring and directing, repeating his duties from 2008’s “Rambo.”

The upcoming project’s storyline revolves around Rambo fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border. Production will start in the spring.

Update: IMDB has the listing up as Rambo V: The Savage Hunt set to come out in 2011, click the link for more information as it comes out over time.

Well first off, you will notice a speed improvements almost everywhere as well as lots of saved hard drive space. After installing I gained around 18GB of space, yes, AFTER installing Snow Leopard from Leopard.

There are a bunch of “apps” that do not work for me. Most of this is because of InputManagers have been removed by Apple. It will be interesting to see what will happen from this and how, if ever, this applications will work again.

So because of InputManagers being removed, one popular app that no longer will work is PlugSuit aside with aFloat. This allowed me to keep certain applications on top of others no matter what. While I barely use this anymore like I use to for my own reasons. I will be able to live without this I am sure.

iStatMenus also does not work and no update has been released yet even after all this time they had to update it. They are working on an update (2.0) and it is in beta already and should be released in the next few days the developer says.

Chax is another InputManager application that does not work. But do not fear as it is its own app now with iChat inside of it. Chax Alpha 1 is out that gives you bare minimum of the Chax features. A lot that you will miss and have to wait for as the developer has time to code and release updates. [UPDATE] Alpha 2 is out and released more missing features that you may of used that I used such as auto-accepting features and bug fixes to some features that did not work in Alpha 1.

Okay, aside from those applications. I have not really had much of a problem with others or have had a lot of time to check all of what I have. Moving on though, I am absolutely still loving Snow Leopard. Expose got a HUGE upgrade that is 10x better than before. Expose now includes minimized apps and even a better interface than before. You will notice some menus like long clicking dock icons look more iPhone-like too.

Overall, I am impressed with Snow Leopard even if some applications need to be updated or may never work again because of InputManagers being removed. Maybe we will see something different with this in the future from Apple or not. I do recommend the $30 or less upgrade. If you are upgrading from 10.4, you can upgrade to 10.6 from 10.4 so do not cave in and pay the even more increased price and save money by getting the $30 version as they are both the same.

Earlier today I moved over from JesusFreke’s Mod to CyanogenMod. Now there is nothing wrong with JesusFreke’s but I am loving Cyanogen’s a lot more. Lot of changes and additions have been done to this mod over JesusFreke’s. It is much easier to install yet alone gain root too.
But anyways, on with my post. I wanted to remove Work Email as he nicely brought this package from the MyTouch 3G into the package so you can have it on your G1. Now others like myself will probably never even use Microsoft Exchange and it weighs in at around 2MB so removing it is best if not used. Unless you have moved to sd storage as I have since August 24th but still decided to remove this and others (PDFViewer.apk and QuickOffice).
While trying to remove on my own and maybe yourself to? you might run into a “read-only system” error. To be able to get rid of this type the following in Terminal Emulator.

su
mount -o remount,rw /system
rm /system/app/Mail.apk
reboot

Then you are done, nothing else is necessary. If you would like to remove other apps that you are unable to uninstall just replace Mail.apk with the package name. Use the “ls” command without quotes while in “cd /system/app” (without quotes again) to see the list of apps.
Disclaimer: I take NO responsibility if you mess up your phone while in Terminal and running these commands or others. Be careful and remove apps the proper way when you can.
