While building my brother’s new badass computer I decided to also upgrade my (very recent) i7 6700k to an i9 9900k. This also meant upgrading the motherboard too, which I ended up going with the ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi) and a Corsair Hydro Series H150i PRO RGB 360mm Liquid CPU Cooler as well to keep temps down.
This will be a great upgrade, especially to suite my needs with video encoding (+quicker times) and gaming at the same time.
I decided to go the way of Kaby Lake for my new Plex Server build instead of going with something like 2 Xeon L5640’s or L5690’s which I’m sure in the long run would have been much better than going with this CPU, the 7600K yet alone cheaper overall for the CPU and entire build.
