Today I FINALLY received my free MacBook which originally was suppose to be an iBook though I am glad I given the MacBook. :)

It was free from Incentive Reward Center, LLC. I originally signed up trying to get in on the 6 offers but was too late and figured I would go ahead and do 15 offers, hoping that as I go along new and easy ofers would come along, that wasn’t that case but I continued anyways to just get the Apple laptop and not be out any money (that being, if I would receive the laptop, others had but months ago)

But anyways, I had been waiting this entire month (July) for it since I had sent in my redemption form and finally, today, August 1st 2006, even after being told July 24th that my iBook was on backorder and to get an email today that my item was shipped and actually receive it today (since it was shipped July 28th-they notified me of it being shipped late) I finally have received it.

All along I was hoping for it to be an Apple MacBook since iBooks are now “gone” in a sense (though you can still purchase from places like Amazon, eBay, so forth). I looked at the UPS Tracking and it weight 12lbs, so I checked Amazon, they said the iBook weighs 13lbs and then I check the MacBook, it weighs 9.2lbs, making me think even more that it is actually a MacBook!

I would now actually have to wait and find out if I was right or not, hoping for a MacBook all along. A little after 2PM CST (I read the email around 12:30PM CST) the package was here! opened it up, read the side of the box for it to read “MACBOOK” under one of the scan bars. That made my day. :) So what turned out to be originally an free iBook ended up being a free MacBook (even better!).

Specs: (Model #MA254LL/A)
Apple MacBook 13.3″ White, 1.83Ghz Intel Core Duo, 512 MB RAM, 60 GB Hard Drive, DVD-ROM/CD-RW Drive. Then of course what the MacBooks have been coming with, iSight, firewire, usb ports, the rest.

And here’s an X-Men Blooper clip (which I found on digg but no longer can find the digg, oh well, here it is for you to view): X-Men Blooper

I saw Clerks 2 earlier tonight and wow, what a great movie! Nice job Kevin Smith. I really thought it was a great sequel. Especially a sequel that comes 12 years later! Whenever do we get to see good sequels today? Most of the time they ruin the movie but not this one (though I did not expect Clerks 2 to be a bad sequel, don’t think that)! It had an awesome ending too that. If you have never seen Clerks, do not see this movie until you do, you’ll love it more, I think.

Other than that, I saw Superman Returns over a week ago in IMAX Theaters, the movie was great but my first IMAX experience sucked. I recommend those wanting to see Superman Returns in IMAX (3D) to stay away from seeing it since there are only 4 scenes where you put on your goggles and those scenes are around 2 minutes long, what a disappointment for a 2h34min movie.

Also saw You, Me and Dupree and Little Man. I thought You, Me and Dupree was hilarious, I recommend seeing it. Owen Wilson is great and the same goes for Kate Hudson. I dislike Matt Dillon though but he was alright and perfect for the part I think. I really expected Vince Vaughn or Will Ferrell appear for a minute in this movie. Though I thought Little Man was hilarious too (it can’t be how funny You, Me and Dupree is but it is still funny) I would not recommend seeing it unless you are really interested in watching it or something or just wait until it comes out on DVD.

It’s been awhile since I last wrote. Only 2 weeks left now for my current semester in school. Then I get a small break and then on with my new semester.

Been playing more 360 lately, since I have had a little more time on my hands. Though my brother has been hogging it lately :P it’s all good though. Nothing really much else to say, it’s that time of the year again where nothing is on tv and not much movies coming out most the time, even though some good ones are coming out, it is really all spread out.

Currently waiting for approval on my yourfreevideoipods site, since I finished it and I am also just about done with a DIY site for an iBook, hopefully to actually receive a macbook instead, either or, I plan on selling it to get a macbook pro but I am not totally sure of that yet.

So why the title “The Last Stand” then? Well, according to the good folks over at Movie Hole, Rothman offers the following explanation:

“It’s the conclusion of this trilogy. These three movies work as a trilogy. These characters in this relationship, it’s the culmination of that saga. It’s the culmination and the resolution of those relationships laid out in the first two movies. That doesn’t mean never, I would ever say never again, but I will say that this brings that saga to an end. It’s quite the way the last Lord of the Rings, Return of the King, brought that trilogy to a conclusion in terms of those characters, that’s what this movie does. It goes all the way back to the first one and rounds off and completes that three-part story”.

Perhaps someone should tell Rothman that the end of the Lord of the Rings was indeed actually the end of the whole series. He might have missed that part.

I personally still have major reservations about the next X-Men film… but my hope has risen over the last month. Let’s hope it works out. Thus far the X-Men have been my favorite comic film franchise (yes, even more than Spider-Man) and I’d hate to see it go down the toilet.

According to sale data released by The NPD Group, the Xbox 360 outsold all other consoles, including the PlayStation 2, in the month of April. During the month, Microsoft sold 295,000 units of its next-generation console while Sony’s current-gen console sold 205,000.

Software sales were even better for the Xbox 360, with an attach ratio of 4.5 and five of the top selling games in April being Xbox 360 titles.
